What to expect: The Continental Process
Immediate action with impressive results. From the moment you call us, our Continental experts have been working to determine the best course of action based on your challenge. Our Tech Services team can be your on-site support to diagnose the problem, find a solution, and recommend the next steps.
Should we require your equipment in the shop, we’ll work with you to arrange the safe transportation of your equipment to and from the most appropriate of our repair shops. Our facilities are equipped with overhead cranes, Motor Test Panel & Isolated Test Bed, Dynamic Balancing, Vibration Analysis, and many other tools to ensure your motor is repaired to the highest of standards.
Stage 1: Investigation, Diagnosis & Testing
Once the equipment is in our shop, we then investigate further to determine the best possible options to repair or service your equipment with speed and accuracy in mind.
Based on this investigation, we then provide a detailed repair quote.
Stage 2: Repair
Once we receive your confirmation of approval along with a Purchase Order, our team of technicians will proceed to perform one or more of the following tests and services on your equipment:
- Core test before and after burn-off process; treat core as needed
- Investigate functionality and condition of housings, bearings and shafts
- Reassemble ensuring all tolerances, bearings, housings, end-play and critical mechanical fits are done
- Repaint and plate as needed
- Conduct load or non-load testing/electrical measurements
- De-installation, installation, electrical wiring, mechanical centering or alignment or any other type of electro-mechanical assistance as required
- When applicable, motor is tested on our isolated test bed to mimic start up in the field.
Stage 3: Shipping back to the field
The equipment is then made ready for shipment with shafts blocked, wrapped, and secured to a pallet. Shipped either by our truck, an arranged carrier, or your courier to the specified destination.
